Corporate
Introduction
Neil Hopkinson set up Impala Adventures in 1990 having gained considerable experience as a Land Rover test driver as well as competing successfully in various international 4x4 challenges.
What started as a passionate hobby is now a successful business running off road safaris globally in a unique style. Not content with just "driving", one of Impala Adventures main aims was to ensure that all who took part learnt more about themselves, the world and its varying cultures and climates and understood respect for nature and mankind.
Neil has built up an enviable reputation for adventure and professionalism.
Working with individuals as well as business, Impala Adventures specialise in creating bespoke Off-Road Challenges.
We can offer truly memorable events in the following destinations worldwide:
Great Britain
Wales
Devon
The Lake District
Salisbury Plain
At specific venues in discussion with the clients requirements.
Spain
Poland
Russia
Morocco
Libya
Namibia
Egypt
Guyana
South America

All of our Corporate Events are tailored to each company's individual requirements using four wheel drive vehicles as the experiential element.
Each event includes driving challenges both off and on road as well as developing navigational skills using GPS, compass and maps.
Teamwork is centered on using the vehicles to complete tasks such as bridge building, mock casualty recovery and vehicle recovery stages.
Everybody is given expert instruction before each event as off road driving, navigation and recovery demand a certain degree of competence and confidence. Impala staff are always at hand throughout the event to ensure that safe working practices are maintained throughout.
Neil Hopkinson is an Advanced Driving Instructor and personally trains his staff to the highest standards, giving clients the confidence to excel in the skills that they have been taught.
Business Team Development Programme (BTD)
There is only so much that can be achieved by individuals working alone. To succeed in Off-Road events demands great team work with many truly interdependent functions including:
Driving
Spotting
Navigation
Winching
Recovery
Organisation
Multi-car tasking
Each of these distinct tasks demand total interaction and close teamwork to compete and complete.
All of our BTD events are designed to reinforce the need for strong teamwork as well as providing an invigorating team stimulation event.

Staff and Client Reward Schemes
Similar events have been designed with less emphasis on Team Development and more on pure enjoyment and experience.
These events are ideal as a way of saying "Thank You" with a memorable difference.
Staff and Client retention and reward are a vital part of any successful business. A ticket to a sporting event can only achieve so much, but to actually take part and learn new skills in a high impact but controlled environment lives fresh in the memory for far longer.
Networking Events
It is vital in business and life to maintain and develop your network of associates and sphere of influence.
There is the established though limited route of invitations to specific sporting events or social functions, or there is the "path less trod"
Being different and imaginative creates a far greater and longer lasting impact.
Impala Adventures can create an ideal platform for you to get to know your existing clients better or for truly engaging new contacts.
Talk to us about your specific requirements and let us help you make that difference where it counts.

Event Outlines
Here are two examples of Impala Adventures events that can answer your business development needs:
| Wales | 2-day BTD | |
| Morocco | 5-day |
Wales 2-day
Wales is an ideal place to run two day team building adventure, everything is there, miles of off road tracks deep in the wilderness that lend themselves to all of the exercises used for team building.
We have the use of a variety of styles of accommodation from remote farm guest houses to luxurious spa hotels to suit the budget and style of your event.
This weekend strengthens bonds and teamwork between work colleagues and will remain with them for many years afterwards.
Day One - introduction, navigation and skill development
09.00 - 10.00- Briefing and training for the event. Clients are split into groups and an Impala team leader will ensure that the necessary skills are taught before the groups head of into Wild Wales.
10.00 - 18.00-using road-books, GPS co-ordinates and area information each group will try to complete the course with the lowest penalty points. Lunch can be taken "in the bush" or at a local pub or restaurant. During the day the teams will come upon trial and team building areas staffed by Impala Team leaders.
18.00 - Back to base for a de-brief, an excellent meal and a small libationNote: A night exercise can easily be staged.
Day Two - treasure hunt and prize giving
09.00 - 16.00- A "Treasure Hunt" with each team finding a part of a puzzle which leads them all to come together at the end of the day to locate the exact location of the "prize"Each group will be given start times 15 minutes apart and ten minutes before the allocated time each group will be given an envelope containing clues to the days routes
17.00 - The Prize Giving and full de-brief.
Morocco 5-day Event
Morocco lends itself to running corporate team building events because of its close proximity and ties with Europe. Flights are in-expensive and there is an area called Lac Iriki on the edge of the Sahara desert that is ideal for team development and navigational exercises.Lac Iriki gives the feeling of being completely in the wilderness of Africa but in reality it is only three hours from the towns of Zagora and Quazazate that have the infrastructure that we are familiar with in Europe.
Day One - Travel from the UK
There is a flight from Heathrow that will get your clients into Quazazate during the late afternoon. This gives your clients time to enjoy clue finding in the Medina before enjoying traditional Moroccan hospitality. During the evening Neil Hopkinson will brief the group and allocate team leaders to give a training session on Desert navigation and survival.
Day Two
0800hrs to 0900hrs Breakfast and Team leader briefings
0900hrs to 1500hrs Using roadbook's with clues clients will work their way south to the desert town of Mhamid and the Hotel Azalay. Just before the town the cars will pass through an area of sand dunes where training in the art of sand driving will take place, giving them the skills and confidence needed for the next two days in Lac Iriki.
Day Three
0900hrs to 1500hrs The goal today is to drive up a sand river that runs past the hotel to an area of dunes to eventually arrive at a traditional Berber bivouac. On the way driving trials and team building events are built into the route. During the evening our Moroccan hosts will put on a display of traditional dancing while we eat tagine or cous cous.
Day Four
A desert dawn is one of life's richest experience and the first clue of the day will be on top of the highest dune, Chegega to be collected at sunrise.
1000hrs to 1600hrs each group heads off onto the sand track that takes them onto the enormous expanse of Lac Iriki where "buried" treasure has to be found by triangulation where each team has to work together to find the Centre.
1700hrs Prize giving at the hotel in Mhamid over the evening dinner.
Day Five
0900hrs After their hard work in the desert we organise a coach to take them all across the mountains to the airport and home.
