Newsletter - February 2012

Well here it is February's Newsletter. I seem to remember Richard asking me for one a month but it seems that at the moment I can manage only one every TWO months!!

Last year on our Moroccan Adventure one of the passengers in my brother's Anniversary 90 was a young lad called Gully and he enjoys writing poetry. His excellent poem can be read and watched here and it is very good and was enjoyed by all.

2013 dates for Morocco and Russia are now up so early booking is available.

and we are looking forward to seeing some of you there. As is the norm for us at Impala the routes will be slightly different so if you have been before you will still enjoy a different experience.

Impala Adventures 2012 / 2013

South of England Greenlane Adventure

17th to 23rd June 2012

We at Impala are looking forward very much to running this event as it is some time since a group of Off Road Adventures has wandered around these beautiful lanes for some years.

The tracks range from chalk on grass, narrow tree lined Saxon roads. There is also some deep water on the military land near Tilshead. We are also using tracks high above the sea along the Dorset Coast. Some of them are very exciting to drive, with one of the highlights at Eggardon Hill, an Iron Age fort with stunning views out to sea from the heights above Bridport.

This adventure is now a camping one. We shall be using good campsites, staying at some for two days or more. The first is a field “attached “to The Woodbridge Inn in Wiltshire.

Treasure Hunt in Wild Wales

27th to 29th December 2012

The Treasure Hunt is back. This very popular event to blow away the cob webs, or freeze them away, depending upon what Mother Nature throws at us will be running this December from The Hafod at Devils Bridge.

Picos Mountains and Cantabria

19th to 26th April 2013

This event is being planned for 2013 and will run from the 19th to 26th April. During the later part of this year Neil and a small crew of Impala Support will be enjoying an adventure setting up the roadbooks and hotels for this event. I always enjoy a reconnaissance because when you are searching for exciting tracks and places to visit sometimes you find yourself in a challenging predicament which can take a bit of extracting to continue further on with the reconnaissance!!. I have often been quite
stuck, on my own.
